Important dates & deadlines for summer 2021


As another tax year begins, here are some key dates and deadlines coming up for businesses and employers over this summer:


19th April – Automatic interest is charged where PAYE Tax, Student Loans, Class 1 NI, or CIS deductions are not paid by today

19th April – PAYE quarterly payments are due for small employers for periods 6th January 2021 to 5th April 2021

19th April – Deadline for employers’ final PAYE return to be submitted online for 2020/2021

30th April – Payment of tax and submission of return for 2021/22 – Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings


3rd May – Deadline for submitting P46 for employees whose car/fuel benefits changed during the quarter to 5th April 2021

7th May – Deadline for VAT Returns and payments of Accounting Quarter period ending 31st March 2021

31st May – Deadline to give employees a P60 for 2020/21


6th July- Copies of 2020/21 P11d documents issued to employees

6th July – Deadline for submitting Form 42: Employment Related Securities relating to the year to 5 April 2021

19th July – Payment of Class 1A NICs or 22 July ’21 if payment made electronically

 31st July- Deadline for the second payment on account for tax year ending 5 April 2021
