Jean Wilson, New Hope, Julia Whelan, Curo and Ollie Farr

We recently held a charity golf day at Ombersley Golf Club raising funds for New Hope Worcester. This incredible charity provides specialist care for families looking after children with learning disabilities and was set up by Jean Wilson who herself has a disabled child.

One of our sponsored professional golfers, Ollie Farr was on hand with short game tips before tee off, plus being the one to beat on ‘Beat the Pro’. Ollie has just returned from Turkey where he won his first European Challenge Tour competition.

Says Julia Whelan, partner at Curo “We were delighted that so many Worcestershire businesses were able to suport our golf day and thanks to the generosity of all involved, New Hope can now invest in more specialist pay equipment or outings for the children”.

A raffle was also held which included prizes from St Andrews Town Hotel, Droitwich, Ombersley Golf Club, Sub Studio and Blackstar Sports.
