‘Curo Charity’

Our CSR office good cause Funny Blood is on the radio!

Wednesday, October 31st, 2012

The ever-busy Ruby from Funny Blood spoke yesterday on BBC Hereford & Worcesteron the Tony Fisher show, explaining how she’d recently raised enough funds to secure charitable status for the cause she founded, Funny Blood. She was kind enough to give Curo a mention and we are proud to support her in the work she does for this worthwhile cause.

Ruby’s son is affected by a rare blood platelet condition and on discovering there was very little help available, Ruby set up Funny Blood to raise funds for research.

Congratulations on your amazing work so far Ruby and on gaining charitable status for Funny Blood. You are an inspiration! Here’s a link to the interview on BBC iPlayer.

We now have aching buttocks and very sore legs but that’s nothing – Team Curo walked the Malvern Hills on Saturday complete with young children and a Welsh Terrier called Monty. Photographic evidence available too – see the picture!

Team Curo on Malvern Hills sponsored walk

We were raising money for our nominated office charity, The Bromsgrove Basement Project which helps vulnerable young and homeless people, providing them with a drop in centre and outreach workers providing advice and support.

We’re still collecting and would love your support. Please give what you can by sending a cheque to Carole at: Bromsgrove Baptist Church, New Road, Bromsgrove, Worcs B60 2JD.

Thank you in advance for any support you can give.
