Autumn Budget 2018 – “Strivers, Grafters and Carers” budget

Today’s budget didn’t turn out to be the Hammo’s House of Horrors some were predicting.  Instead this year’s budget is said to pave the pathway for a brighter future.  However, the budget was once again heavy on spending plans rather than tax announcements. Highlights included predicted increase of number of new jobs created by 800,000 by 2023 and £8.4bn increase for NHS spending. Extra funding will be made available to areas such as Counter Terrorism, armed forces, air ambulance services and pot holes!
