August 2021
31 August – Deadline for submission of corporation tax returns for accounting periods ended 31 August 2020
September 2021
1 September – deadline for corporation tax payment for accounting period end 30 November 2020
1 September – updated advisory fuel rates apply – rates TBC but current rates can be used up to 30 September 2021
7 September – VAT returns and payments for quarter ended 31 July 2021
19 September – Postal payment of Class 1A NICs, CIS and PAYE or 22 September if payment made electronically
30 September – Deadline for submission of corporation tax returns for accounting periods ended 30 September 2020 (CTSA)
30 September – Last day the 5% reduced VAT rate for hospitality, holiday accommodation and attractions applies; from 1 October ’21, a new reduced rate of 12.5% applies
30 September – End of furlough scheme; last date for claims is 14 October
October 2021
1 October – The SDLT nil rate band reduces from £250,000 to £125,000
14 October – Deadline for furlough claims
19 October – Postal payment of Class 1A NICs, CIS and PAYE or 22 October if payment made electronically
31 October – Deadline for paper submission to HMRC of self-assessment tax returns for the year ended 5 April 2021
31 October – Deadline for submission of corporation tax returns for accounting periods ending 31 October 2020 (CTSA)
